SPOT Nordic is pleased to announce its Annual Meeting, which will take place on September 13, 2025, at the iconic Uppsala Castle in Sweden.
The future is now – and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is at its core. As AI reshapes industries, redefines skills, and raises new ethical dilemmas, professionals and researchers around the globe are facing urgent questions:
How will AI transform our work?
What are the ethical boundaries we must uphold?
How can we, as a global community, ensure that technological progress benefits all?
The EU has launched the world's first comprehensive AI ACT, which regulates the use of artificial intelligence in the EU, shaping the ecosystem for businesses, innovation, and research.
These are the central themes of the SPOT Nordic Annual Meeting 2025, a flagship event that brings together Portuguese professionals, researchers, politicians, and students from across Portugal and the Nordic region. This year’s discussions will delve into the impact of AI on the labor market, the responsibilities of researchers and companies in ensuring the ethical development of AI, and the role of the Portuguese scientific community in driving innovation across borders.
Our Annual Meeting is more than just a conference, it´s a platform to connect minds, share knowledge, and strengthen the ties between Portugal and the Nordic countries. It is a space where science, innovation, and community meet. The program will feature presentations by national and international experts, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and the presentation of SPOT Nordic’s strategic projects. It will also serve as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds within this growing community.
