Promote the development of Scientific Diplomacy between Portugal and the Nordic Countries

Support efforts by the national scientific community to promote the visibility of national science and technology in the Nordic countries, enhancing the dissemination of national scientific knowledge and the creation of partnership opportunities between Portuguese institutions and researchers in the Nordic countries.

Goals

  • Inform about relevant opportunities to foster the establishment of new partnerships that enhance collaboration with the Nordic countries.

  • Contribute to the transfer of knowledge on scientific and technological advancements in Portugal and the Nordic countries.

  • Equip Portugal’s diplomatic representations in the Nordic countries with the knowledge needed to engage in a well-informed and sustainable manner on topics related to Scientific Diplomacy.

Research Grants

SPOT Nordic and the Scientific Council provide research grants to students and researchers to create and strengthen links between Universities and Research Institutes in the Nordic countries and Portugal.
