Shaping SPOT Nordic in Norway: Interactive Working Session & OKR Workshop (In Person & Online)
SPOT Nordic invites the Portuguese scientific and professional community in Norway to take an active role in shaping the network’s future during an interactive working session on 18 November 2026, at OsloMet in Oslo.
Following the official launch of SPOT Nordic in Norway, held at the Residence of the Portuguese Ambassador in Oslo in May 2026, the association is taking another step towards strengthening its presence in the country and fostering closer connections between Portuguese researchers, students, professionals, and institutions.
The upcoming “Shaping SPOT Nordic in Norway: Interactive Working Session & OKR Workshop” aims to bring the community together to collaboratively define strategic priorities, identify opportunities for cooperation, and establish a shared roadmap for the network’s development in Norway over the next three years.
As SPOT Nordic prepares for a leadership transition in the first quarter of 2027, this session will provide an opportunity to reflect on the association’s progress, share experiences from across the Nordic countries, and ensure that the Portuguese community in Norway plays an active role in defining the network’s future.
Building the Future of SPOT Nordic in Norway
Since its launch in Oslo, SPOT Nordic has been working to consolidate its presence in Norway, bringing together members of the Portuguese scientific and professional diaspora and strengthening connections with local institutions.
Looking ahead, one of the network’s key milestones will be hosting the SPOT Nordic Annual Meeting in Oslo in 2027, creating an opportunity to showcase the Portuguese scientific and innovation community in Norway and reinforce cooperation between Portugal and the Nordic countries.
This working session will build on that momentum, encouraging participants to contribute their perspectives, identify common priorities, and explore how SPOT Nordic can better support the community’s needs and ambitions.
An Interactive and Collaborative Workshop
The session will combine updates on the association’s activities with an interactive workshop focused on co-creating Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the next three years.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to four key discussion areas:
1. SPOT Nordic: Current Status and Leadership Transition
The session will begin with a brief intervention by David Pereira de Castro, President of SPOT Nordic, who will provide an overview of the association’s journey, highlighting its key achievements, activities, and initiatives across the Nordic countries. The presentation will also address SPOT Nordic’s strategic priorities for the future and the upcoming transition to a new presidency, scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
2. Norway Representation and Upcoming Milestones
A reflection on the progress made since the official launch in Oslo, the development of the Norwegian representation, and preparations for the SPOT Nordic Annual Meeting in Oslo in 2027.
3. Success Stories from Across the Nordics
Sharing experiences, initiatives, and lessons learned from SPOT Nordic’s activities in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland to identify opportunities and approaches that could support the network’s development in Norway.
4. OKR Co-Creation Workshop
An interactive working session where participants will collaboratively identify and prioritise strategic Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), helping establish a shared roadmap for SPOT Nordic in Norway over the next three years.
