SPOT Nordic and Quidgest sign a strategic partnership to strengthen scientific diplomacy and innovation between the Nordic countries and Portugal

SPOT Nordic, the Association of Portuguese Graduate Professionals and Researchers in the Nordic Countries, and Quidgest, a Portuguese technology company pioneer in Generative AI for automatic software generation, formalized a strategic partnership to promote scientific research, the sharing of knowledge and innovation between the Nordic countries and Portugal.

This protocol, which will run from 2024 to 2026, represents an important step in strengthening relations between the two territories through advances in science and technology. The protocol includes several initiatives aimed at increasing visibility and promoting the professional development of the Portuguese community in the Nordic region.

The main highlights of this collaboration include:

• Funding of research grants: Quidgest will fund research grants with a total value of 7,000 euros, aimed at supporting Portuguese researchers in technological projects. These grants will encourage the transfer of knowledge and innovative research in areas such as computer science, software development or artificial intelligence, in order to strengthen ties between academic and professional circles in the Nordic countries and Portugal.

  
  

• Events: The partnership will include the co-organization of several initiatives, including an annual event that will bring together academics and professionals to promote networking, synergies and innovation between the Nordic countries and Portugal.

  
  

• Collaboration with Nordic Partners: SPOT Nordic, through its extensive network, will support Quidgest in identifying strategic partners in the Nordic countries for collaboration on innovation, research and business development projects.

  
  

• Logistic support: SPOT Nordic members and partners will benefit from logistical support in the use of Quidgest’s facilities in Lisbon, whenever they need it.
