HealthAI and SPOT Nordic Launch Strategic Partnership to Promote Responsible AI in Healthcare - Roundtables in Copenhagen (June 1) and Stockholm (June 2)


Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming healthcare systems around the world. From clinical diagnosis to the management of digital infrastructure and public health decision-making, AI technologies are playing an increasingly important role in the healthcare sector. At the same time, challenges related to governance, transparency, ethics, regulation, and patient safety are also on the rise.


With the aim of contributing to these discussions and strengthening international cooperation on the responsible implementation of AI in healthcare, SPOT Nordic and HealthAI are now launching a strategic collaboration focused on science diplomacy, institutional dialogue, and multisectoral cooperation in the Nordic region.


The initiative combines HealthAI’s international expertise in the responsible governance and implementation of artificial intelligence with SPOT Nordic’s network within the Nordic ecosystems of research, innovation, and institutional cooperation. Together, the collaboration aims to build bridges between policymakers, regulators, healthcare professionals, researchers, academic institutions, foundations, and innovation leaders working at the intersection of health and emerging technologies.


An institutional initiative focused on the Nordic region

The collaboration will begin with a series of institutional meetings and high-level roundtables in Denmark and Sweden, focused on the responsible governance of AI in healthcare.


As a local partner and platform for science diplomacy and innovation in the Nordic region, SPOT Nordic is coordinating and organizing this institutional visit by HealthAI to Denmark and Sweden, fostering connections with universities, regulators, public institutions, innovation ecosystems, and strategic stakeholders in the fields of healthcare and artificial intelligence.


The initiative aims to create opportunities for dialogue, cooperation, and collaboration among different stakeholders in the Nordic and European ecosystems, reinforcing the role of Denmark and Sweden as key hubs for the discussion and implementation of responsible AI models in healthcare.


Topics under discussion include:

Copenhagen Roundtable

Responsible AI Governance for Innovation, Competitiveness and Regional Sovereignty

The roundtable in Copenhagen will bring together policymakers, regulators, health data authorities, researchers, foundations, and innovation stakeholders to discuss how responsible AI governance can contribute to innovation, competitiveness, and the long-term resilience of health systems.


The session will be held in English and aims to create an open space for dialogue among different sectors of the health, technology, research, and public policy ecosystems. In addition to institutional guests, the initiative also seeks to engage the academic community, researchers, healthcare professionals, students, startups, entrepreneurs, and all participants interested in artificial intelligence, digital health, governance, innovation, and international cooperation.


At a time when AI is playing an increasingly important role in healthcare systems, we believe it is essential to bring together different perspectives and create opportunities for participation, discussion, and networking among the people and institutions that are helping to shape the future of these technologies.

Held in Stockholm, this roundtable will focus on the relationship between AI governance, patient safety, and international cooperation in health innovation.


Bringing together regulators, academic institutions, healthcare stakeholders, and innovation leaders, the discussion will explore practical challenges associated with the implementation of AI in healthcare systems and the importance of building transparent and trustworthy governance models.
